Dare to Be an Astronaut!

Daring Camp was off with a blast today as they cannonballed right into the pool!  Many campers were interested in taking our swim test to be able to go into the deep end!  When they arrived back at camp they were off on a hike in the woods to try and stay cool!  After lunch, campers enjoyed a trip to the playground and track field.  Even in this heat they love to run around (with plenty of water of course!)  In the afternoon, everyone loved making either an astronaut helmet or an alien helmet!  Campers got pretty creative adding antena, breathing cups, knobs and gadgets.  Once they finished with their helmet each camper had a chance to feel what walking on the moon might be like by attaching sponges to his or her feet and hopping around space style! Finally they ended the day with a water balloon toss!  What a fun filled day!

Tomorrow we have a field trip to the Great Lakes Science Center!  Campers will get their green shirts tomorrow morning!  See you then!
