From Nicole Franks and Meghan Davis, Gator Train Instructors:
Our red and green
tomatoes sprouted into Tuesday with reading the humorous story Little Pea. Campers
painted their own plant pot today using bright colors of their
choice. Later this week they will get to use their creative
pot to plant during a gardening project. During their movement
activitity both red and green tomatoes experimented with the giant
parachute in the multipurpose room. Our campers ended the day with a book
and discussion about compost. We visited the various compost bins located
around Laurel's gardens and discovered what vegetables are growing in the
courtyard with the help of our very own compost. Tomorrow we are off to
the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. Pics will post tomorrow!
