Freaky Friday began with CRAZY HATS, and boy were they crazy! The MTH campers went all out with hats of all sorts! After voting (along with Daring Camp) one winner emerged from each group and campers waited in anxious anticipation for the end of the day when the winners were announced! It was a close race and all the hats were really crazy! Next week will be a different Freaky Friday so stay tuned!
Aside from crazy hats, campers had a lot of fun playing Dead Ant Tag today and as a spectator it was pretty comical. There are two taggers, when a camper is tagged he or she must lay on his/her back until 4 people come up and each touch a hand or foot. Only then can the camper return to the game!
The Stars and Awesome Astronauts explored the surface of the moon with two crafts- both equally fun. After lunch they spent the afternoon at the creek using nets and looking for crayfish!
The end of the day was sweet with popcicles and space ice cream! We hope to see many of you in future weeks of Summer at Laurel- remember there is still time to sign up for more week! If this is your final week of camp then we wish you a safe and happy rest of the summer!
