Daring Camp: Dare to be an Artist!

This week the Daring Camp for Boys and Girls explores everything art as they Dare to be Artists!  This week's group is lead by Ray Rossman, Laurel School's 8th grade science teacher, Andrew Horner and Rory O'Shaughnessy.

The morning was off to a great start as they played some getting to know you games and went out into the woods for Project Adventure.  Project Adventure is all about teamwork, and today they worked together on the Wobbly Woozy and the Triangular Traverse!  Campers have the opportunity to participate in the activity as spotters as their friends challenge themselves on the element.  On the way back to the lodge they pretended to avoid hot lava by only stepping on logs and sticks!  It was difficult but they did it!

The afternoon was spent honing in on their sculpture making as they worked in groups to make stone sculptures down by the creek.

This week will be spent with many more artful activities so make sure you stay tuned!  Tomorrow is swimming please remember to wear your bathing suit to camp and bring a towel!
