WOW! What a fun filled day here at the Butler Campus!
Today marked the first day of camp for our Magic Tree House Camp and The Daring Camp for Boys and Girls! Campers were exctied to get going as many jumped out of their cars and ran down to the lodge to start the day!
Magic Tree House campers blast off to the moon this week as we follow Jack and Annie in Midnight on the Moon. We have two groups of Magic Tree House Camp running this week- The Stars and the Amazing Astronauts. Leading the Stars are Mrs. Emma Forquer, Laurel School's Chinese teacher and Ms. Tereh Coleman. Leading the Amazing Astronauts are Ms. Kim Soeder, Laurel School's Assistant After-school Director and Ms. Christy Cardellini. Both groups really enjoyed making rockets and playing in the creek today!
Daring Campers dare to be Astronauts this week with their group leaders, Mr. Ray Rossman, 8th grade science teacher at Laurel School and Mr. Andrew Horner. These campers had a blast making paper airplanes, hiking, playing lots of games and going on our Project Adventure low elements!
The day ended with some all camp games of Astronauts and Aliens (our space themed version of Sharks and Minnows), Fire on the Mountain and Wax Museum. Ask your camper for more details!
Please note, we have swimming tomorrow at Ursuline College. Your child should wear his or her bathing suit to camp (underneath clothes) and bring a towel. Make sure to pack a change of clothes!
We definitely had crafting, hiking, creek walking, game playing fun today.
