Channel 56: Cake Boss!

Ready, set, BAKE!  The girls of Channel 56 kicked off the week right with an up close personal tour of Luna Bakery in Cleveland Heights.  Along with a tour, girls also decorated cupcakes with fondant and buttercream icing. Their cupcake creations were amazingly creative and looked delicious!  

Leading the group is Becki Dina and Christy Cardillini, who have both spent a lot of time brushing up on their cake decorating skills for this week!  Butler Campus, the girls worked with decorating bags and tips to create flowers, leaves, ribbons, and more. Throughout the rest of the week they will learn to bake a cake from scratch, mix their own buttercream icing, and create shapes in fondant. The girls will be able to learn techniques for decorating cakes and cupcakes and will also spend time working in teams this week as they work on different cakes for mock clients. 

Please note, tomorrow is Project Adventure.  Tennis shoes should be worn for safety.
