Let the Games Begin!

Tuesdays at Butler are always busy!  We start the morning off at Ursuline pool where campers are able to have a free swim.  Some of the highlights of the pool include, jumping in, swimming with kick boards, splashing around with friends, doing cannonballs, diving in the deep end (campers are only allowed in the deep end if they pass the swim test) and generally having a lot of fun!  Once arriving back to camp, the groups divide back up into their individual groups and begin the day here at Butler.

The Champions and The Leapers had a fantastic day!  Each group got a chance to read some more chapters in Hours of the Olympics in the Magic Tree House, venture down to the creek, play some really fun games and make a craft!  The Champions made an Olympic wreath for their heads while The Leapers made the Olympic Rings!  Tomorrow is the field trip to Golf Dome for putt-putt golf!  Please make sure to wear your green Summer at Laurel t-shirt if you already have one!  If you do not, we will give you one tomorrow!

The Daring Campers did a bunch of fun (and wacky) Olympic games today!  It began with reverse hurdles where campers had to crawl under the hurdles rather than jumping over them.  Then they all participated in the 50 yard dash.  At the end of the day, each camper enjoyed making an Olympic torch!  Tomorrow is the field trip to Solon Freeway Lanes for bowling!  Please make sure to wear your green summer at Laurel t-shirt if you already have one, if not we will give you one in the morning!

See you later!
