Gator Train Kicks Off the Week with Red & Blue!

From Meghan Davis and Kim Soeder, Gator Train Instructors:
Today, the Red and Blue Star groups enjoyed their first taste of Independence Day activities. During the Movement Whistle Stop with Miss Davis, the campers played a variety of games, including Duck Duck Goose, Tag, and What Time Is It,  Mr. Fox? During the Art Whistle Stop with Miss Soeder, campers read Henry's Fourth  of July by Holly Keller and then decorated bags to store all of their goodies for the week. After lunch, the groups combined to play on the playground and read Happy 4th of July, Jenny Sweeney by Leslie Kimmelman. At the end of the day, the campers participated in the Science Whistle Stop, where they made "fireworks" in milk using food coloring, Q-tips, and dish soap.
